Dean Zhang of the English Department, and our friend. He met us as soon as we arrived in Xiamen and hooked up our internet connection, took us and the rest of the foreign teachers who'd arrived out to dinner. A more caring friend could not be found. Sometimes I audit his grasduate American Poetry class. It's my only exposure to poetry and people who discuss it and I appreciate it no end.
